Boobs and Goombas: A Super Mario Burlesque is auditioning female dancers, actresses, and ecdysiasts for roles in an ensemble production to premier at Gorilla Tango Theatre in October of 2010.
Auditionees do not need prior burlesque or striptease experience, but must be willing to learn and perform classic/neo burlesque routines ending in pasties. All costumes for this production will be provided and paid for by Gorilla Tango Theatre.
Actresses will be paid a small per-show stipend, plus tips. We are seeking a variety of body types and styles of dance, but are particularly seeking comic actresses who move well, have a sense of humor about themselves, are exceptionally expressive on stage, and would enjoy participating in a collaborative process.
The show performs in October 2010. A complete schedule of rehearsals and performances will be provided when you schedule your audition.

At the audition, performers will learn and perform a short (non-strip) dance routine and be asked to participate in cold readings. Dancers and ecdysiasts with existing routines may also choose to book an additional solo audition time to share a dance or striptease number they have choreographed themselves, but it is not required.
