New Netflix Comedy “Free Bert” Casting Paid Extras – ATL

A featured background casting call is now open for the upcoming Netflix scripted comedy Free Bert, starring and co-created by Bert Kreischer.

The perpetually shirtless stand-up comedian stars as a version of himself in this six-episode series, which follows Bert as his unrestrained antics make his family outcasts after his daughters enroll in an elite Beverly Hills private school. Determined to fit in, Bert decides it’s finally time to put on a shirt,  literally and figuratively and try to suppress his true self.

Production is seeking non-union talent to work as local hires in the Atlanta, GA area (no transportation or lodging provided) .

Applicants must have flexible, full-day availability, as exact call times are not yet set.

Pay: All roles are paid.  See the list of casting notices below for pay on the individual roles.

BACKGROUND CASTING

Project: Netflix SERIES “Free Bert”
LOCATION: ATLANTA, GA area (could be surrounding areas)
ATLANTA, GA area LOCAL HIRE ONLY! (transportation/accommodation will not be provided!) OK to live out of state as long as you are a reasonable self-DRIVE to ATLANTA, GA and are not expecting compensation for travel. MUST be LOCAL HIRE and not require a flight to get to location in the Atlanta area and surrounding rural areas
DATES NEEDED: TBD – checking availability for one or multiple dates between 6/29/26 – 7/31/26. Exact dates TBD
-we do NOT have exact Call/Wrap times, so you should have FULL DAY/Evening available to allow for whatever the Call Time ends up being. Fitting MAY also be required – date TBD.
Rate of PAY:
FITTING (if required): $43.75 for up to 2 hours (OT after 2 hours)
FILMING: $175.00 for up to 12 hours (guarantee). Overtime if you work more than 12 hours. You will still be paid the full rate if you work less than 12 hours as well (but plan on 12 hour days please!).

ROLES: BACKGROUND
[WOMEN’S BOARD COMMITTEE] – Female, all ethnicities, age range 40s-50s, snobbish, affluent, Los Angeles types, attractive for their age, elegant, conservative, professional and/or “ladies who brunch” types.
[DINNER PARTY GUESTS] – Male and female, all ethnicities, age range 30s-50s, affluent, elite, wealthy, attractive, Los Angeles types, upscale, classy, elegant, the beautiful people.

[PRIVATE SCHOOL STUDENTS] Male and Female, age range 16-22 TO LOOK YOUNGER, all ethnicities, conservative, clean-cut, no facial hair on guys, wholesome prep school types. This is an “elite” school so students are good looking, but unique and cool in their own way. NO tattoos or piercings (other than simple ear piercings). IF under 18 years old – MUST have a GDOL# or be able to get one before first day of work on set. Parent/Guardian MUST also remain on set with Minor at all times

[HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLERS] Male, age range 16-22 TO LOOK YOUNGER, all ethnicities, conservative, clean-cut, no facial hair, This is an “elite” school so students are good looking, but unique and cool in their own way. REAL WRESTLERS WITH EXPERIENCE!!! MUST be currently wrestling or have wrestled in the past so that you look like you know what you are doing and will not get hurt. NO tattoos or piercings (other than simple ear piercings). IF under 18 years old – MUST have a GDOL# or be able to get one before first day of work on set. Parent/Guardian MUST also remain on set with Minor at all times. Wrestlers will also likely work as Private School Students in some non-wrestling scenes

[GYM GOERS] Male and Female, age range 20s-30s, all ethnicities, really good looking, fit and in great physical shape, actor/actress and model types, some ripped body builder types, upscale, Los Angeles beautiful people types with great bodies and very confident people, MUST be comfortable with gym equipment/weights or spin/yoga classes and comfortable working out on camera. NO visible tattoos or piercings (other than simple ear piercings)
–Also if you have a newer (2022 & newer) upscale high end vehicle (BMW, Tesla, Rivian, Mercedes, Jaguar, Porsche, etc) that you can park in the scene, we may need that and you will be paid an additional $50 for your vehicle.
