THE KING AND I Open Auditions
The Candlelight Dinner Playhouse is please to announce auditions for Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The King & I, on Monday. Nov. 15, 2010 from 12pm to 7pm at the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse. Children’s auditions will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 16 2010 from 4pm to 7pm. Auditions are by appointment only and can be made by calling the Box Office at 970-744-3747. Callbacks for adults and children will be held on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010 at 8pm. Experienced singers, dancers and actors are needed. Actors of all ethnicities are encouraged to audition. All roles are open. All roles are non-equity. All roles are paid.
Actors should bring headshot and resume and prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theater song appropriate to the show. You may be asked to sing more than one song. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key. No acapella or recorded music. You may sing a song from the show. Rehearsals will begin approximately March 4th. The King & I will open March 25, 2011 and run thru May 29, 2011. Performances are Thurs. thru Sat. nights and Sunday matinees. Performances may be added. This production will be directed and choreographed by Brian Burron.
