NOTES: Please bring a valid photo ID to the audition venue, there is a security checkpoint.
Rehearsals will take place in Summit, NJ
An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home life, the tweens spell their way through a series of [potentially made-up] words hoping to never hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.
A riotous ride complete with audience participation, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is delightful den of comedic genius.
WHAT TO PREPARE:
Please prepare TWO 60-90 second musical theater selections to be performed acapella. We may want to hear your second song so please be equally prepared with both selections.
WHAT TO BRING:
Please bring a current headshot/resume stapled together.
