Please be warmed up & prepared to dance. Bring sneakers and wear appropriate dance attire. Please bring your book and prepare 16 bars of a 50’s-60’s tune, with sheet music in the correct key, in case you are called back to sing.
Seeking men and women 18 and up, strong triple threats, to play working-class high school kids in the 1950’s.
NOTE: If you previously auditioned for this tour in April, it is not necessary for you to attend this call.
Seeking the following roles only:
[Sandy] Female 18+ to play teens. Danny’s love interest. Sweet, wholesome, naïve, cute, like Sandra Dee of the “Gidget” movies. Great contemp. pop sound, soprano with belt.
[Danny] Male 18+ to play teens. The leader of the T-Birds. Well-built, tall, good-looking, with an air of cool, easy-going charm. Masculine & cocky, but likeable. Pop Bari-Tenor.
[Doody] Male 18+ to play teens. Youngest of the guys. Small, boyish, open, with a disarming smile and a hero-worshiping attitude toward the other guys. Major pop tenor w/ strong falsetto.
