The Thomaston Opera House announced open auditions for a Main Stage musical production of RENT.
Auditions for RENT will be held on Sunday, March 21st and Monday, March 22nd by appointment. Individuals selected from the auditions on March 21st & 22nd will be required to attend a second call on Tuesday, March 23rd at 7:00pm. Callbacks will be held on Sunday, March 28th, if needed.
The production will be presented beginning Friday, June 11, 2010 and runs through Sunday, June 27, 2010 for 11 performances (including Thursday evening performances on June 17th & 24th). All roles are open to audition – we are seeking an ensemble cast of adults for this production. All those auditioning should prepare a song similar in style to RENT, or may sing a song from the show. Please bring sheet music to your song and be sure it includes piano accompaniment.
There will be no taped music or a capella singing – an accompanist will be provided. Individuals selected from the auditions on March 21st & 22nd will return on Tuesday, March 23rd for additional scene work and dance combinations.
