Houston Grand Opera is holding an open casting call for Supernumeraries on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 10 a.m.
But what is a Super?
Supernumeraries (Supers) appear on stage in non-singing roles, much like being an extra in a movie. Supers can be anything from guards to ladies in waiting, to judges, executioners, prisoners, you name it! Not only can you be part of the magic and thrill of live theater, but you also receive a small fee and tickets to the opera. FABULOUS!
