The 60’s American Tribal Love-Rock Musical!

SEEKING THE NJ/NYC TRI-STATE AREA:
Fearless, Talented and Dedicated souls to join the BE-IN, and be part of a Tribe. All Performers MUST Sing, Dance and Act and be over the age of 18.
HAIR is a joyous celebration of youth at a poignant journey through a tumultuous 1960’s America. Tribe members search for truth, peace and love in a Vietnam War era. Featuring a multi-cultural cast singing the chart topping hits ‘Aquarius’, ‘Let the Sun Shine In’, ‘Good Morning Starshine’ and ‘Easy to Be Hard’. Looking to create a sensory overload experience with a group of performers that are willing to take risks, make leaps and bounds and give all they can to what will be a promising unforgettable production.
Seeking 8 Leads (4 Males and 4 Females) with rock/pop/r&b voices and charming charisma, attitude, uniqueness and bravery. Claude, Berger, Sheila, Jeanie, Chrissy, Dionne, Hud and Woof.
And the Tribe Members (Ensemble singer/dancers full of freedom and range).
Please prepare 32 bars of a song from the show that shows off your vocal range AND 32 bars of a ROCK song (your choice).
Come dressed comfortably (sneakers fine) and be prepared to SWEAT profusely.
*** Seeking multi-cultural, all ethnicities, colors of the rainbow and fearless souls. The show will contain brief nudity and will embrace all content of sexual, drug and religious natures and will be presented in FULL. Please be advised that you must be an open-minded, free thinker and willing to be fearless in order to audition for this production. Please show ID with proof of age at registration in order to audition.
Rehearsals will take place at Bayonne JCC evenings in March/April and May
Auditions:
Tuesday February 26 & Wednesday February 27
(6-10pm) Please arrive on time.
Rehearsals are evenings Mondays-Thursdays (6-10pm)
in March/April/May
(with just few Saturday mornings closer to the show)
Performances are May 16-19, 2013
