Casting locally for Los Angeles-based film in Tempe. Will be submitted to various film festivals across the country. Written by a new Harvard-educated Los Angeles screenwriter. “Where Dell Went” is a dark, intense melodrama about a man dealing with the post trauma of a previous violent episode, the enormity of the violence never fully revealed until the plot-twisted ending. The film is based on a full-length screenplay that’s currently making the rounds in LA, with name actors currently attached to the project. There is opportunity for all to ultimately work on the full-length, as well.
AUDITION DATES: July 1st or 2nd. Location in Tempe and BY APPOINTMENT. OPEN CALL times may also be added. In order to translate a rawness/true to life quality on screen, we also encourage non-actors/models or model types to audition. No prior acting experience necessary, although we’re looking for people who know how to take chances. All roles require very ‘Balls to the Wall’ performances, so if this is you, we definitely wanna hear from you.
FILMING: first week of August, only one to three day film commitment required for each role. All roles below will be shot in Tempe. Copy/credit/meals provided.
–BREAKDOWNS–
BOYD: Male, 20-30. All-American but any ethnicity. Ethereal qualities. Former nerd turned ‘It’ guy. Clean, pressed look. Masculine. Slightly jock-ish, but with a gentle nature. A loyal best friend. Open-minded. Is very aware, very ‘on to it.’ Nudity required and must be okay with strong simulated sexual content. LEAD.
WOMAN: 20-40, any ethnicity. Sexy. Dominant/agressive tendency. All shapes/sizes considered. Nudity required and must be okay with simulated sexual content.
ASSAILANT #1: Male, 20-40. Caucasian. Violent. Deep. Calculating. Sociopathic. Masochistic.
ASSAILANT #2: Male, 20s. Caucasian. Demanding. Impatient. Deliberate. Equally violent but takes orders from Assailant #1. Nudity/implied nudity required.
Sexual and intense violent themes, but with an important anti-violence message. There are gay-themed undertones, but we need to stress that this is not a gay film. It is also important to stress this is a legitimate project with name industry professionals involved in the production.
