Now casting Singers and vocalists for Disney shows – contracts beginning in 2014
Disney Cruises is holding open auditions for singers next week for both male and female vocalists for a variety of shows which include “The Lion King” and other productions. Auditions are for shows that will be performing on the Disney Wonder and The Disney Magic cruise ships. Performers who get hired will be given a contract for 2014 which includes full pay, room and board on one of the cruise ships and many other perks which include guest sailing. The contracts are approximately 9 months long and performers will be on board ship sailing to exciting destinations such as Greece, Italy, Spain, The Caribbean and more.
Auditions will be held Monday and Tuesday in New York’s Pearl Studios. Please see the full descriptions below and you can check the disney website for more information about the auditions.

We are seeking talented and versatile musical theatre vocalists for entertainment productions on our luxury cruise liners, the Disney Magic® and the Disney Wonder®. Exciting itineraries include Spain, Greece, Italy, Vancouver, the Caribbean, and more.
Hiring a repertory Company of 19 performers to bring to life four musical theatre style productions. Contracts begin March 2014 for approximately nine months and include competitive pay, room and board, guest sailing privileges, additional benefits package and no cruise staff duty.
Seeking the following roles:
ANN MARIE: Female adult actress to play a child age 9-11. Should have a genuine and youthful disposition. Youthful belt.
CINDERELLA: Female, 20s, average height. Beautiful youthful ingénue. Excellent singer with contemporary pop mix to F.
BLUE FAIRY/ARIEL: Female, early 20s – 30s, 5’5”and above. Beautiful soprano with strong mix. Moves well with slender physique.

GRAND DUKE: Male, 20’s-30’s, 5’10” and above. The Prince’s right hand man, he is the epitome of a regal presence. Good character actor, tenor.
PRINCE CHARMING: Male, 20s to early 30s, 5’10” and above. Romantic and handsome leading man, gorgeous singing voice to A.
BUZZ: Male, 30’s-early 40’s, 5’10” and below. A Space Ranger who believes in his mission to save the universe. Lacks any self-irony. Charismatic actor. Powerful baritone to G.
WOODY: Male, 20’s-30’s, 6’0” and above. Character actor. The very likable Sheriff in the small town. Everybody’s best friend. A natural leader. Tenor to A flat with a country twang.
PETER PAN: Male, 20’s, 5’8” and below. Energetic with youthful boyish charm. Tenor that moves well.
KRONK: Male, 20s, 5’10” and above. Comedic actor. Handsome, nice physique. Baritone with low speaking voice, ala Patrick Warburton.
PAIN/PANIC: Male, 20s-30s. Great comedic charcter actorswith incredible timing. Goofy and sweet. One must be able to impersonate Bobcat Goldthwait.

FEMALE LION KING VOCALIST: Female, 20s- 30s, 5’4”- 5’7”, principal vocalist of African-heritage with a rich, soulful, gospel sound. Able to bring down the house. Also sings “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.”
MALE LION KING VOCALIST: Male, 20s-30s, 5’8” – 6’, vocalist of African-heritage. Extremely strong singer. Physically in good shape. Sings “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.” Soaring Tenor.
JAFAR/SCAR: Male, 30s, tall, lean, sexy and a bit of a bad boy. Comedic actor of African-heritage. Can play sinister, as well as reveal his softer side. Sings “Wind Beneath My Wings” with Iago. Also sings “Be Prepared.” Very strong vocalist with wide range. Base/Baritone.
HADES: Male, 30s, 5’11” and above. Excellent comedic actor with improvisational skills. Smart, funny and quick. Rock-tenor to an ‘A’.

I am a talented singer whose passion is many things, but music is my drug! I share pleasure in being a member of the well known Mississippi mass choir and many other local groups/choirs. I have always dreamed of doing fun and adventurous things such as performing in front of big or small audiences! I know i would really enjoy performing on these cruise ships, and the audience would enjoy me as well as my teammates.
