Wild Ruse – A short (30-40 minute) caper film with a surreal twist, in which a burned cop hires a unreliable possibly psychotic thief to pull a job on a mysterious and notorious mob boss.
Lead Roles:
One 25-35 year old MALE actor. Stocky or athletic build to portray a cynical ex-cop.
One 25-35 year old MALE actor. Red hair, or willing to dye hair. Thin, or lean build preferred, and portraying a tricky thief.
Minor Speaking Roles:
Three muscular or physically imposing MALE actors. Any age. To play nightclub bouncer.
Two 17-23 year old MALE actors. Sleazy or seedy looks/demeanor to play young criminals.
One 17-23 year old overweight MALE actor. Sleazy or seedy looks/demeanor to play young criminal
One 16-20 year old MALE actor. Stocky or athletic build to portray high school version of the cynical ex-cop
One 16-20 year old MALE actor. Red hair, or willing to dye air. Thin, or lean build preferred to portray a high school drop-out.
Non-Speaking Action Roles:
Five 23-33year old MALE actor. Minimum 6 foot height. Must own black suit. To play mob henchman.
One 35-45 year old Male actor. Minimum 6 foot height. Must own black suit. To play mob boss.
Background Extras:
Forty 18-80 year old actors. No gender requirement. Must have “club” clothes. Playing weird, or strange party goers at an illicit underground gathering.
You will need to commute to BRANDEIS UNIVERSITY in WALTHAM, MA for several weekends of shooting (number of weekends dependent on the part), starting in early March and concluding in April.
Open only to non-union actors; moderate compensation for lead roles and some minor speaking roles.
