MTV’s True Life is a documentary series that covers different topics on each episode. The show has covered numerous topics from serious issues like addiction to the really fun like visiting the ‘Jersey Shore’. During each episode an MTV crew follows people that face the same problem or issue that the episode is about, exploring the issue and hearing about it from the participants perspective.
True Life has been running on MTV since 1998 and has won various awards including an Emmy in 2009.
The show is currently casting the following topics:
TRUE LIFE: I’M SUPERSTITIOUS
Are you extremely superstitous? Are you an athlete who has to have things exactly the same during every game or you can’t perform? Do you wear the opposing team’s colors the night before a game or insist on drinking orange soda before suiting up for good luck? Or maybe you’re an actor gripped by the many superstitions that surround the theater? Are you about to get married and worried about the many wedding related superstitions? Or maybe you’re the type of person who has superstitions about everything – the rain, black cats, the number 13, broken mirrors, dogs howling at the moon, etc?
How have these superstitions affected your life? Have they ever caused you to miss school, a game, work or other events? Have your beliefs become so engrained that you can’t do things without first considering your superstitions? Has this caused any issues in your relationships with family, friends, co-workers or others? Are you tired of being gripped by your superstitions and want to break free? Or are you fine with being superstitious, but your parents, partner or friends can’t understand and it’s starting to cause friction?
