The world-famous Pageant of the Masters is holding a upcoming casting call for the 2014 summer presentation of “The Art Detective.”
The auditions will take place in January of 2014, a few months away. Their ‘living pictures’ exhibit is world famous and is a reproduction of classical and contemporary works of art by living people.With the use of costumes, makeup and theatrics, the exhibit brings the great masters art work to life.
The show is looking for volunteers. There is no pay for actors who participate in this event but it should be a memorable experience.

The festival has taken place since the 30’s and is a summer production.
“The Art Detective” – a mystery
Everyone loves a good mystery, especially in the world of art. You don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out whodunit when The Art Detective, the 2014 Pageant of the Masters, is on the case.
The Festival of Art’s world famous theatrical celebration of art in tableaux vivants – “living pictures” – will reveal how lost treasures were discovered, where crimes of passion were uncovered (or covered up) and how creative riddles were unraveled, with a gallery of the world’s great masterpieces providing the clues! The stories and revelations are sure to provide fun for the whole family and be anything but elementary.
Volunteers of all ages needed. No theater experience necessary.
In addition to needing volunteers to pose in the Pageant, volunteers are needed for positions in the wardrobe, make up, and headdress departments, as well as cast area coordinators and refreshment servers, among other positions.
