Indie Feature Film Auditions in Philadelphia for Speaking Roles

Indie paid project filming in Philly is currently casting the following roles

Looking to cast the following roles for an independent feature film. Looking to start filming November 1st, but there is a possibility that production will start earlier.

The film is about the rise and fall of a promising young athlete, who allowed his ties to a notorious Philadelphia-based mob to bring him down.

Available Roles:

Bill “Lil Bill” McNeil — Light brown skin, African American, three major age ranges: 4 to 24 years old. Ultimately standing at 6’2”. Athletic build. Bill is a confident character, energetic and loyal. His loyalty to his family and friends turns out to be his major flaw. More of a follower than a leader, his ambition is fueled by the need to succeed despite his circumstances. Bill is often oblivious to the shortcomings of others, seeing the crime that occurs around his family as somewhat habitual.

Karen McNeil – A light brown African American woman, 5’9” age ranges: mid 20s to 40 years old. Characteristics of a tomboy. Karen is outspoken, can dominate any room with her voice. Her “tough as nails” personality is detectable in her voice. Karen suffers from an undiagnosed bi-polar disorder, and is prone to ticks, and unusual outbursts.

Neisha – Brown skin, African American, 5’5” age ranges mid-20s to 40 years old. Neisha’s demeanor is as confident as Karen’s, but her features are more feminine. Fast talker and highly opinionated. Has a low tolerance for patience and is definitely an attention grabber.

Crystal – Light skinned, African American female, 5’2” age ranges mid-20s to 40 years old. Crystal resembles Neisha, but lacks the outspoken nature. Carries herself well and has a bubbly persona.

Marlene McNeil – Light skinned, African American female, 5’3” age ranges mid-40s to 60s. Sweet smile, soft voice, has the demeanor of a loving grandmother. Remnants of a Southern accent.

David McNeil – Dark skinned, African American male, 5’10”, age ranges: mid-40s to 60s. He has the appearance of an everyday workingman. Has a dominate personality, and tries to maintain it, even when his alcoholism cripples him.

Aaron Jones – Dark skinned, African American male, 5’10”, age ranges: mid-20s to 40s. Stocky build, dominate personality. Emits a level of conceit, and expects everyone to listen to his demands, which they do.

Billy Day – Brown skinned, African American male, 5’9”, age ranges: mid-20s to 40s. Smooth voice, self-assured, never gets overly excited.

Gwenie Day – Dark skinned African American female, 5’7”, age ranges: mid 40s to 60s. The rock of her family. Always appears to have a scowl on her face. Tomboyish persona, and a strong, stern voice.

Gregory “Gooch” Blue – Dark skinned, African American male, 6’3”, age ranges: mid 40s to 60s. Well-dressed man speaks with a stern voice, and never smiles. Never without a toothpick in his mouth. Calm, and controlled persona.

Aaron “Lil Aaron” Jones – Light brown skinned, African American male, 5’9”, age ranges: 3 to 23 years old. Rambunctious, aggressive, and suffers from attention deficit disorder. Has a high level of aggression that forces him to be selfish, reckless, and manipulative, even at a young age.

John Hardnett – Light skinned, African American male. Heavy set, bald, prone to fits of cursing. Passionate personality, especially when it comes to basketball. Easily trusted, and vocal about his likes and dislikes.

Daryl “Rupey” Blue – Brown skinned, African American males, age ranges: 45 to 60. His is an alcoholic, unkempt man with a scraggly beard, blotchy skin, and rough hands. Only excels in basketball.

Karl “KP” Phillips – Light brown skinned, African American male, 5’10”, age ranges: mmid-20s to 40s. Flamboyantly displays his wealth whenever possible. Slimy demeanor, and convinced of his importance, even though others cannot see it.

Holly – Light skinned, African American female, 5’5”, age ranges: 4 to 24 years old. Pretty and confident. A grounding force that can rationalize with anyone around her. Soft spoken and quick to smile.
