PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION:
“If You” is a short film that aims to celebrate diversity in Houston. It depicts the story of a female dancer coming to terms with her identity as an undocumented person. “If You” is a short narrative that examines the diversity in Houston as well as celebrates the warmth of its people.
THERE ARE 4 ACTIVE CHARACTERS
Vanessa: Lead dancer & protagonist
Female 18-28 Dance experience is a must. Latino/Hispanic. Spanish fluent is a plus.
Neil: Vanessa’s romantic & dance partner.
Male 18-28 Dance experience required. Asian, African American, Mixed Race,
Ethnically ambiguous.
Anita: Vanessa’s confidant and member of the the dance ensemble.
Female. 18-28 any race
Sammie: Director of “Soul” Dance company
28-50s Male/Female. Any Race.

*REHEARSAL AND PRODUCTION DATES & LOCATIONS:
Casting: September 3 & 4 from 1pm to 7pm at Te House of Tea
1927 Fairview
Production will last 3 days and will be held from September 7th to 14th. ONLY 3 DAYS MAXIMUM! BUT within this shooting window.
Shooting will be held in different locations in Houston
(transportation will be provided)
Compensation
– Meals Provided.
– Freedom to choreograph dances and full credit provided.
– If a dancer or actor we cast is in need of video reel or head shots, director will personally work with talent to provide this material in exchange for their services.
