Richard Hicks, the Casting Director of the movie ‘Gravity’, ‘Hairspray’, ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ and others, is currently casting an independent feature film called WEIGHTLESS, starring Nick Nolte (’48 Hours’) and Jason Clarke (‘Zero Dark Thirty’).
A nationwide search is on in both the USA and Canada, for a young boy to play the leading role of ‘Will’, age 8-12. He’s a quiet, shy boy who weighs approximately 150-300+ lb or more.
‘Weightless‘ is a touching story about a relationship between a father and a son. The film also addresses the impact of issues such as, bullying, divorce and childhood obesity.
No acting experience is required for this role. Boys fitting this description can submit a photo via the film’s website. The film is set to shoot during the late Summer or early Fall in the Albany/ Schenectady area of Upstate New York and parts of Pennsylvania.
