35mm short film about to begin production in Richmond is holding auditions for lead and supporting roles. All roles are paid.

Auditions will be held on the 7th and 8th of this month and the filming schedule is set for mid June through early July.

RICHMOND – Anne Chapman Casting/VCUarts Cinema Auditions – June 7-8, 2014 – PAID

Anne Chapman Casting & VCUarts Cinema are seeking actors for three 35mm Short Films, THE FOOL, A MAN COULD GIVE UP and THE PHANTASMIC LILY KING-WILLIAMS to be shot June 16th – July 3rd, 2014 in and around Richmond, Virginia. Union & Non-Union ACTORS WELCOME.

Seeking the following roles:

THE FOOL – Shoots June 17th, 18th & 19th, 2014
LAUREL – Any Ethnicity Female. Early 20s. An Art History major, with her head in the clouds. Always a little nervous and quite scatterbrained. Laurel secretly craves attention, but shies away from it as she is terrified of looking foolish. She has an interest in Tarot cards, is fashionable in a retro way and very into the Richmond scene. Laurel lives in a dreamworld of romantic fantasies, but she worries what others think of her to the point of exhaustion. She can easily get lost between a day dream and reality. Doesn’t understand how she has so many parking tickets. Must be comfortable with kissing, smoking and appearing in a bra on screen. Shoots 3 days, June 17th, 18th & 19th. $100 per shoot day.

HARRIS – Any Ethnicity Male. 18-24yrs. A nice guy who likes to party. Harris has been in and out of school over the past few years, and is currently washing dishes at a popular restaurant. Half-heartedly saving money for school Harris skates, surfs and loves to play beer pong. A little bro-ish, lives for the party and always comments on the cute girls. Shoots 1 or more days, June 17th, 18th & 19th. $50 per shoot day.

GREY – Any Ethnicity Male. Mid-late 20s. Graduate Teaching Assistant at VCU, the quintessential hipster academic. Has a vegan girlfriend and smokes organic cigarettes. Doesn’t try to be pretentious, but ends up coming off a little snooty. Into philosophy and politics. Kind hearted and honestly doesn’t realize Laurel is trying to flirt with him. Must be comfortable smoking on screen. Shoots 1 or more days, June 17th, 18th & 19th. $50 per shoot day.

LUKE – Caucasian Male. 20s. Kind of a tough guy, not unkind but a bit brusque. Music is his life. Just got off tour with his band. Dropped out of college a year ago and has been playing music ever since. Not ready for a relationship, but always finds a babe at the party. Free beer and Luke is there. Must be comfortable kissing on screen. Shoots 1 or more days, June 17th, 18th & 19th. $50 per shoot day.

JENNA – Any Ethnicity Female. Early 20s. Radical femme, aggressive with no boundaries. Equal parts artist and political activist. Good friend to Laurel, but has no time for Laurel’s insecurities. Really knows how to enjoy herself at a party. Must be comfortable kissing on screen. Shoots 1 or more days, June 17th, 18th & 19th. $50 per shoot day.

MOLLY – Any Ethnicity Female. Early 20s. Sweet, nurturing and a bit of a hippy. Into Tarot, gemology, palmistry and the like. Studying to be an art teacher. Plays the bass and enjoys a wide range of college friends. She’s all peace, love and happiness. Shoots 1 or more days, June 17th, 18th & 19th. $50 per shoot day.

A MAN COULD GIVE UP – Shoots June 25th, 26th & 27th, 2014
AGENT 55, FRANCIS – Caucasian Male. 50s. A veteran of the spy game. A patriot. Fit and old school, Francis has spent his entire career chasing his cold-war-era arch-enemy, code-name “Munya”. Having just successfully captured his respected foe he realizes that he has absolutely no idea what his next step should be and begins to wonder if it has all been worth it. Courageous and intelligent his mission has always come first, now that he has won he is struggling with depression, lack of direction and quickly spiraling into dangerous territory. Shoots June 25th, 26th & 27th, 2014. $150 per shoot day.

AGENT 227, JESSICA – Caucasian Female. Late 30s-50s. Brainy, attractive, meticulous and cunning. An American career diplomat who is actually a spy. Had to prove herself early on in a male dominated field which has left her with a bit of a chip on her shoulder and her loyalties vulnerable to the highest bidder. In fact she has flipped and is in the process of betraying Francis. All is not going to plan and Jessica finds herself in a very difficult situation. Shoots 1 or more days, June 25th, 26th & 27th. $100 per shoot day.

AGENT 419, NATALIE – Caucasian Female. Late 20s-late 30s. American. Bright, strong willed, quick witted with a mighty temper. Shoots first and asks questions later. Her talent with a gun would be regarded by any agency as a primary asset. The perfect killing machine. Willing to go to any lengths to complete her task but self preservation is always the highest priority. This latest mission is really starting to get on her nerves, something has to change. Shoots 1 or more days, June 25th, 26th & 27th, 2014. $100 per shoot day.

AGENT 301, BRIAN – Caucasian Male. Late 20s-30s. Very fit. An American citizen of Eastern European descent. Speaks English as well as any native. He portrays an air of oblivion, but might just be the smartest guy in the room. Ex-military who fully enjoys the spy game and all its’ trappings. A good technician who is mercenary at heart. Brian is on the American team at present, in reality he is a citizen of the world who has lived abroad for a very long time. A bit of a romantic when it comes to women. Shoots 1 or more days, June 25th, 26th & 27th, 2014. $100 per shoot day.

MUNYA – Caucasian Male. 50s. Eastern European spy who speaks multiple languages. Speaks English with an accent. A cunning, fit and highly intelligent psychopath. Can talk his way out of anything. A happy man with no regrets. Always the picture of calm, revels in being put to the test. Has enjoyed every moment of his cat and mouse game with Francis. Has every confidence he will live to see another day. Shoots 1 or more days, June 25th, 26th & 27th. $150 per shoot day.

CONSTANTINE – Caucasian Male. 12-18yrs. Speaks Russian and English, fancies himself a future spy. Not afraid to ask a gorgeous grown woman to dance. Cheeky, sweet and suave, gets away with everything. Shoots 1 or more days, June 25th, 26th & 27th. $50 per shoot day.

THE PHANTASMIC LILY KING-WILLIAMS – Shoots July 1st, 2nd & 3rd, 2014
Lily KING-WILLIAMS – Any Ethnicity Female. Mid 20s-30s. Recently brought back from the dead. Lily died in a car accident just as her music career was becoming a reality. Beautiful and talented, she craved fame and celebrity in life but found none. In death, Lily is learning the high price of success. Her manager/conjuror, Cecil, signs her to an unconscionable contract. He takes advantage of the novelty of a ghostly singer, making her perform nightly at her graveside. Although weary. Lily finds the strength to manage her own destiny. Must be able to sing. Shoots July 1st, 2nd & 3rd. $150 per shoot day.

CECIL PIERROUX – Caucasian Male. 40s-50s. Practitioner of black magic. Smooth talking, opportunistic and extremely charismatic. He fancies himself an impresario, but is actually more of a svengali. An undeniable presence, Cecil is theatrical and a bit over the top. A clothes horse, obsessed with his own image. Cecil views Lily as his meal ticket, shamelessly using her to the point of exhaustion. He knows he has the most unique act in the world. He is enjoying every minute of the journey. Shoots July 1st, 2nd & 3rd. $150 per shoot day.

TEENAGE FAN – Any Ethnicity Male. 15-18yrs. A fan of the dead Lily King-Williams. Thinks it is cool to go to the cemetery to see her concerts, it is even cooler when he gets a chance to speak with her. Typical excitable teenage music fan. Shoots 1 day, July 1st, 2nd & 3rd. $50 per shoot day.
