The Reality Theater Company is casting for the role of DONNIE in a 4 character one-act play titled “TEN SECONDS”. The play will be part of an evening of 3 one acts. We open February 13th and will run for 8 weeks on Friday and Saturday nights in the NoHo Theater District of North Hollywood.
Theater experience and history is a must for all applicants, as is rehearsal availability in January and early February. If you have a conflict with the schedule we respectfully ask that you do not apply.
“TEN SECONDS” – An original play, not yet published. This is a 4 character, 1-Act play that takes place in the local bar of a small town in Georgia. It is a drama with elements of comedy which come from the characters and their take on life.
DONNIE: AGE RANGE 40 – 47. Born and raised in the small town of Founders Square, Georgia, Donnie is the town dead beat. He hasn’t worked in three years due to a back injury (which is suspect). He drinks away his wife’s meager earnings while cheating on her left, right and center.He definitely has a moral sensitivity-chip missing, in fact, emotionally and intellectually, he’s stuck in the 8th grade.
NOTE: Southern accent is a must.
