Break it out because a new TV series based on a comic book of the same name is having a casting call for super villains. CL Casting in Atlanta is looking for those who give off that comic book criminal mastermind type of vibe.
A new superhero series is coming to TV… well, the Playstation at least. Sony is working on their first streaming TV series called ‘Powers‘, a good Vs. evil superhero show with a twist… the ones with the powers are the villains. Our hero, well, he has no powers. The story goes that he did at some point but lost them in the fight of his life. The lack of super powers doesn’t keep him from his calling though. According to IMDB, Sharlto Copley will star as Christian Walker, ex superhero turned cop on a mission to bring down the super powered villains in the city. Michelle Forbes joins him as his partner, Power Girl / Retro Girl.
The show has been in the making for sometime. A few years back the FX Network was on it and filmed a pilot but backed out having never aired it. Sony picked it up and the show is finally gonna come to our living rooms this December. According to IMDB ‘Powers’ is..
Set in a world where humans and super heroes co-exist, a homicide detective is tasked with investigating crimes involving superhuman powers.
The series is in production in the Atlanta area and Atlanta residents have a chance to bring out their inner villains. Atlanta based CL Casting is looking for sinister types whose presence makes the biggest of men shake in their boots.
By the way, there is another casting call out for Powers which does not require a maniacal look.
