Season 2 of “Empire” is still filming in the Chicago area and a new casting notice has been released.
This looks like a great opportunity to possibly be upgraded to a SAG role. The show’s casting directors are looking to cast fit, athletic Hispanic males to play thugs. The role will be upgraded to a SAG stunt contract which means some decent pay and those cast for the roles will be working with a stunt coordinator. The roles will include some running and other physical activity.
The FOX hit series, “Empire“, takes viewers behind the scenes of Empire Entertainment, a family run hip hop music label with Lucious Lyon at it’s helm. Lucious, a self made music mogul ( Terrence Howard) gets some bad news about his health. After doctors inform him that he will be incapacitated within a few years, he is left looking to one of his 3 sons as a possible replacement as head of the company. The music oriented drama focuses on Lucious and his family as they struggle with daily affairs and personal relationships. The series also stars Taraji P. Henson, Bryshere Y. Gray, Jussie Smollett, Trai Byers, Grace Gealey, Malik Yoba, Kaitlin Doubleday, Ta’Rhonda Jones and Gabourey Sidibe. The show is now filming season 2 which will premiere later this year.

Male, Hispanic, ages 21-35, fit and athletic. You must be comfortable running and doing physical activity. The Stunt coordinator will be working with you so you must be able to take direction well.
