Movie extras in Atlanta wanted for “Rings” (The Ring 3)
The horror franchise will be getting a third installment. “The Ring 3” AKA “Rings” is now in production in the Atlanta area. MHC is seeking to cast some Asian background actors in the Atlanta area, 18+, to play passengers on a plane. The film’s casting directors (Marinella Hume Casting) are seeking people who have never worked on this movie and have some acting ability. The film will be wrapping shortly and these will be the final few scenes still scheduled to film. This is a 5 day call beginning on the 20th and talent applying must be available to work all 5 days (see below for further details).
Paramount has finally moved ahead with “The Ring 3“. According to a THR report, F. Javier Gutierrez (The Crow) is set to helm the latest movie in the horror franchise. The Spanish film directors is best known for the Paramount reboot of, The Crow. The film seems to be a prequel and according to the film’s IMDB page, the film revolves around the events that took place before The Ring. It tells the story of the years before the video tape came to be and the beginning of how Samara’s terror began.
The horror film series is based on a Japanese movie. The first film in the U.S. did great at the box office. “The Ring” grossed $249 million worldwide. While “The Ring 2” did not do as well as its predecessor, it did make a formidable $160 million worldwide. In this digital age, where videotapes went the way of the dinosaur and most people under 20 have probably never even seen one, it will be interesting to see how that fits into the script… or maybe that is why the third installment is rumored to be a prequel. The story line for “The Ring” series, revolves around a mysterious videotape that, when watched, kills the viewer a week after the person has watched it. “The Ring 3” has a scheduled theatrical release date of November 2015.
