Character – Mandy
Mandy is a British-Indian 27-year-old girl who was brought up by an Indian dad and English mother in Birmingham. She is a bubbly independent and rebellious type of girl who has a mind of her own and separated from her family when she was 22.
Her overbearing dad tried to impose traditional Indian values on her and restricted her from wearing western/revealing dresses and not letting her stay out late night and this was not on for a girl of Mandy’s character. She is also a driven and focused female who is passionate about having her own Beauty Salon one day. Mandy has a slight stubborn character but she balances it well with her logic and reasoning. Not a very desi Punjabi girl but with a slight British texture.
Casting to take place on Saturday 9th May 2015, 4.00pm to 9.00pm at Midlands Arts Centre (MAC), Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham, West Midlands B12 9QH.
