This is a play dealing with the topic of self harm. It centers around a talented ballet dancer named Abby who must confront the pressures put on her by her mother Sarah who is determined to control her life. A former cutter and prostitute, Sarah is also forced to face her own demons and hypocrisy as she learns that her daughter Abby is going down the same path that she was on 20 years ago. Tormented by newly formed wounds and ones thought to be healed, both Sarah and Abby have to understand the hard way what Gods unconditional love truly is.

Auditions for Singers in DC, Paid Roles in “Revolutionary Gentleman” Stage Play

Infinity Stage will be casting for the comic-tragic rock musical “Revolutionary Gentleman,” a tongue-in-cheek, behind-the-scenes look at the American Revolution as seen through the eyes of Benedict Arnold. Rehearsals will be held in Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington in January and February, with performances in March.

The 6 principals will be paid a stipend of $100 per performance. Please submit youtube or vimeo clips of two contrasting numbers from legit theatre–no opera please, along with bio/headshot. If you have no video, then mp3s would suffice.

Casting multiple roles for a short film planned for a mid-January, two-day shoot in Minneapolis. The film is centered around a 911 emergency dispatcher who answers a distress call.

Characters:

Gladys: African-American Woman in her 40’s – 50’s. Reserved but has a motherly aura to her.

Woman: African-American woman in her 20’s – 30’s. Strong voice actress who will not be seen on screen, but requires a lot of emotion.

Extras: Open ethnicity/Ages 18 and up. Looking for 4 – 6 extras total.

BANJIGIRL PRODUCTIONS is accepting submissions for the pilot episode of the web series ‘THE ROYAL ROUND TABLE” by Miami based writer TIMOTHY ORANGE II.

“THE ROYAL ROUND TABLE” follows three self-appointed community activists who venture to heal the social ills that currently plague American society. They attempt to do this by raising the consciousness of their surrounding community through the teachings and “ways of being” of our ancestors. (Each episode will look at issues that are unfortunately recurring in our neighborhoods and our country at-large with an attempt to offer positive perspective and healing resolutions.)

Resourceful; in sync with social issues and modern politics. His goal in life is to provide hope and resources to those who are lacking. SERIES REGULAR.

JUDAH (Mid to Late 20’s) – Haitian Creole. THE MYSTIC/HEALER OF THE GROUP: has a Master’s degree in Physics. A shaman from Port Au Prince, Haiti with strong connections to the spirit world; direct descendant of Root workers and Voodoo Practitioners. Blunt and to the point; very wise and strong minded, in tuned with nature and the hearts of others; deeply concerned about western religion and how it affects its followers. Speaks English but prefers to only speak Creole*. SERIES REGULAR

Spontaneous Productions set up shop in Cincinnati doing documentary work for clients and ourselves for over 2 years.

We are pushing into creative fiction and are looking to film 3 immediate pieces of varying length from 1 minute to 3minutes maximum.

The goal is to generate a call list of people who are interested in working with a creative agency on a semi-consistant basis.

Both projects are simple single camera (Blackmagic 4k production) traditionally used with our DJI Ronin stabilizer for fluid single shot pieces.

The content is a satire comedy in the veins of “The Office” and “Mystery Men” *Yeah that old movie with pee-wee herman and Kel!*
