DC area auditions for upcoming short film “Girl’s Night Out”
Indie film “Girl’s Night Out” is seeking a few DC area actors to fill speaking roles. Auditions are being held next week on Tuesday with callbacks following on Thursday. The film project will be shooting around the DC area between June 24th and June 26th. Actors interested in the roles may follow the instructions below to send their photos and resumes to the film’s casting director. Auditions are by appointment only and sides will be sent to selected actors prior to the audition date.
The premise of this short film deals with cultural prejudice. Zeinah and Amy (leads) are two teenage girls invited by Jack to go to see a band in the city. They find out what the night will really be about…

CASTING : TUESDAY, JUNE 7TH, 12-6PM;
LOCATION: AMERICAN UNIVERSITY, WASHINGTON, DC
CALLBACK DATE: THURSDAY, JUNE 9TH, 12-6PM
SHOOT DATES: JUNE 24TH, 25TH AND 26TH
CHARACTERS: (Please note these are supporting roles, the lead roles have been filled)
Mrs. Diab – Looks 40 years old – Classic Arab looks (does not have to be Arab, but MUST look the part), slightly plump. Knowledge of Arabic.***
Mr. Diab – Looks 42 years old – Classic Arab looks (does not have to be Arab, but MUST look the part).
Smoking Man One – 30’s, any ethnicity, James Dean type or just really cute – he’s hanging outside of a bar with friends
Smoking Man Two – 30’s, any ethnicity, cute, jeans tee shirt type – hanging outside of bar with friends
RATES:
Mrs. Diab – $300 + 20% agency fee – 1 day (post v.o. day extra)
Mr. Diab – $200 + 20% agency fee – 1 day (post v.o. day extra)
Smoking Men – $175/ea + 20% agency fee – 1 day (post v.o. day extra)
These are all speaking roles! This will be entered into the film festivals!
This film will be shot in Reston, VA and Silver Spring, MD or Washington, DC at the end of June for 3 days. There will be rehearsals for talent during the month of June, so be prepared.
Please submit talent to me as soon as you can (latest Monday) so we can get them in the time frames given. We will be seeing talent every 5 min. Once you have talent confirmed, you will be presented with address, map of campus and parking information.
Sides will be sent once confirmed! We would like to have talent memorize as much as they can, but they are able to bring the sides into the audition and can refer.
