The Dreams of Rene Sendam Synopsis:

A graduate student, the poet Rene Sendam finds his eccentricities often alienate him from meaningful relationships. Rene is deeply troubled, yet full of love. He has lived a fantasy life of great wonder and beauty, and a real life of isolation and rejection. The story follows Rene’s relationships with three other students, including his relationship with Marie DiPierro, a free-spirit traumatized by her father’s untimely death. Eventually, Rene’s dream world begins to collide with his reality, leading to the question: who – or what – is Rene Sendam?

Character Description: MARIE DIPIERRO
Rene’s free-spirited alcoholic girlfriend, still traumatized by her father’s untimely death when she was a teenager. Marie is an anthropology student studying cultures that develop rituals during which worshippers metaphorically devour their gods.

Character Description: SANDRA SAUCEDO
Rene’s classmate who seeks his help with her poetry. Sandra is a dedicated student, often secludes herself, and is seeking new experiences. Through the poetry workshopping process Sandra and Rene grow closer. Sandra’s intelligence is a draw for Rene, and his comfortability with poetry piques her interest.

Am interested in auditioning, although did not see a required criteria. Do I submit an audition video to the email listed? If so what does that audition consist of? A single monologue of choice? Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.
