Casting Call for “Spider-Man Homecoming,” Extras in Atlanta

Paid extras wanted for new Spider-Man movie

The new Spiderman movie series is now in production of the first film, “Spider-Man: Homecoming” in the Atlanta Georgia area and locals have a chance to get cast as paid extras in the upcoming feature film.

Atlanta’s Tammy Smith Casting has released a few new casting calls for small, non-speaking roles. The casting calls are for scenes that will be filming this week or next.   Interested talent need to submit ASAP in order to be considered.

Sony is re-booting the  “Spider-Man” franchise yet again and this time Sony Pictures Entertainment struck a partnership with Marvel Studios that would allow both film companies to share Spidey.  The new Spidey was introduced in the last Marvel Captain America film, which, by the way also filmed in Atlanta. Back in 1999.  Sony has owned the feature rights to comic book character since 1999, when Marvel sold them the rights to Spider-Man for for $7 million. Sony turned Spider-Man into a multi billion dollar franchise since then and produced a total of 5 Spider-Man films.  Tobey McGuire played Spidey / Peter Parker in the first 3 Sony Spider-Man movies and Andrew Garfield took over the role in the last reboot which included 2 films,  “The Amazing Spider-Man” and “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.”

The deal has allowed Spider-Man to finally return to the Marvel Universe.  Marvel’s Kevin Feige will produce “Spider-Man Homecoming” for Sony which according to the project’s IMDB page will hit theaters just a little over a year for now on July 7th, 2017. Jon Watts will be directing the project.

Spider-Man is filming under the working title “Summer of George.”   The movie’s plot has been kept under wraps but we do know a few things about the film…  Tom Holland will be playing Peter Parker / Spider-Man. Iron Man will be making an appearance because the film’s IMDB page lists Robert Downey part of the cast and his role is that of Tony Stark / Iron Man. Marisa Tomei will be playing Aunt May.   Also in the upcoming film is Zendaya (of Disney Channel fame and current series K.C. Undercover.)

i’m looking forward to working with everyone. I’ve been an extra before and enjoyed it very much! I’m applying for an extra part in this movie. Stan Lee is a genius. My goal is to eventually have a small or large speaking part which can lead to bigger and better things. And seeing dreams turned into realities., thanks for considering me. Looking forward to hearing back from you all! – Sarah Lee

Hi I am Jason Newport, applying for extras, minimum experience but have been learning online with webinars as much as possible with Amy Jo Berman and other helpful information. I didn’t graduate so seeking small jobs. I have a speaking role coming up soon in the award winning show money is our goal. Feel good about being part of something. I have always wanted to do so. I hope to get to work in the future to be able to be apart of film industry and to help make good productive film. I will do what it takes for the directors and producers and most importantly the viewers, thanks for viewing and hope to be considered.
