Roles:
(Lead) Mrs.Vail: Female: 55-60
She is everyone’s rock. She is soft spoken, and loving. She has everyone’s best interests at heart. She is the group coordinator for the weekly support meetings. She rarely gets attached to any of her clients but she has a special spot for Ben, Jacob, Franki and Noah.
She’s very plain jane, with a small town background.
(Lead) Noah: Gender: Male: 4-6
Calm and always aware, but never showing it. Noah is high-functioning Autistic but that doesn’t make him out to be different. Noah loves his parents but has a difficult time expressing it. He doesn’t have much dialogue but plenty of actions.
Noah is dirty blonde/brunette with beautiful eyes and small framed.
(Lead) Lucy: Gender: Female: 22-25
Franki’s mom is completely beside herself. She had Franki at the age of 18 years old and is raising Franki as a single mom. She received the news only a few weeks prior to Franki starting chemotherapy, she’s feeling overwhelmed and helpless.
She’s a very petite brunette, and naturally pretty even without makeup.
(Lead) Jennifer: Gender: Female: 28-35
Noah’s mom is very protective of her son. She is a momma-bear. She’s very easily stressed and overwhelmed but mostly confused. She was once happily-married until her and her husband found that their life was put on hold because Noah was diagnosed with Autism. She doesn’t know how to cope.
She is very fit and well taken care of. They are a wealthy family.
(Lead) Franki: Gender: Female: 4-6
Franki is the firecracker in a room. Nothing can tear a smile off her face, not even chemotherapy. Franki loves to play dress up and wear her pretty dresses and costume jewellery out. Franki and her mom, Lucy, are closer than anything else. Her mom is her superhero, her best friend, and her fighter. Although Franki doesn’t understand what’s going on, she never fails to show affection when in need.
Franki is fragile and petite.
(Lead) Ben: Gender: Male: 16-19
Jacob’s older brother. He’s been raising his brother since their mother passed away, especially now. He’s very overprotective of his little brother except for the one time he wasn’t able to. He now has to step up and be the adult figure in his little brothers life after he stabs his father to death for being brutally beaten.
A bad-boy looking, not well groomed young kid.
(Lead) Jacob: Gender: Male: 6-9
A little boy of no words. Although Jacob doesn’t have any dialogue, he has very strong facial expressions. Jacob is the younger brother to Ben. His mother passed away and his dad took full custody over both the boys. Except, their Father enjoys consuming alcohol rather than getting to know them. He is a victim of physical abuse and PTSD. He appears to be immobilized by abuse over his father.
(Large Principal) Nurse: Gender: Female: 40-45
She’s got a soft spot for Franki and Lucy. She’s upbeat and sincere.
Dark skin, funny, warming and motherly.
(Large Principal) Derrik Moore: Gender: Male: 35-40
Noah’s father. A well-groomed businessman who has done well for himself.
(Supporting) Drunk Dad: Gender: Male: 35-40
Jacob and Ben’s father. Low life and not interested in anything else but Whisky. He beats both his sons but Ben finally has enough and decides to draw a knife on him and kills him. He doesn’t have many lines but plays a very big part in the film.
