“Fast 8” is now in production in the Atlanta area and there is a new casting call out for police and military extras in the area.
The movie’s extras casting directors are seeking Atlanta area locals to play Russian military and police. The roles are only calling for extras that have previous military or police experience on this one. The casting is for a scene that will be filming next week. See below for all the details.
“Fast & Furious” will be adding another installment to the very successful franchise. The new film titled “New Roads Ahead” will be the 8th film in the series. Universal recently announced that the studio actually has plans to take the series to a total of 10 films. “Fast 8” will be the first in a trilogy that will bring the Fast & Furious story to a close with the last scheduled film, “Fast 10.” “Fast and Furious 8: New Roads Ahead” will be released in theaters on April 14, 2017. Fast & Furious 9 will come out 2 years after on April 19,2019 and Fans will have to wait until the next decade for the finale, “Fast 10” which is set to hit theaters on April 2, 2021.
Most of the “Fast and Furious” cast will be reprising their roles. According to the project’s IMDB page, “Fast 8” will star Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Eva Mendes, Lucas Black, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris. Actress Charlize Theron is also part of the “Fast 8” cast. Theron will be playing the sole villain in the story.
Entertainment website, Deadline reports that Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray is set to helm Fast 8. Neil Moritz is producing the Universal Pictures film with Vin Diesel.
