Cast members wanted for the Student Short Film “Shots Fired”.

If you’re a serious actor looking for a phenomenal role in an dramatic short film, this is the film for you. No role is too small. Be part of a project you’ll be proud to work on and place on your reel. You’ll fall in love with the script.

There will be 6 mandatory rehearsals. 2 long shooting days. Only the serious need apply. This film will be going to festivals.

The following roles need to be filled.

DRE
12-year old African American Boy. Overall nice boy and natural leader but when with his group of friends he sometime gives in to peer pressure.

WES
9-year old African American Boy. Dre’s younger brother. Looks up to his brother. Smart but mischievous and get’s himself into sticky situations.

TY
13-year old African American Boy. Thug bully type. Juvenile Delinquent. Bad influence on Dre.

SEAN
11-year old African American Boy. Follower.

OLD LADY
60 to 80-year old African American Woman. Loves her TV. Very feisty.

GIRL/BOY
4 to 6-year old African American Children (twins). Typical young children. Very active. Loads of energy.

SHONDRA
35 to 40-year old single African American Woman with 4 children by 3 fathers. Trying to raise them the best she can. Sometimes loses track of kids through the chaos.

DEE
35 to 40-year old African American Woman. Shondra’s sister. Likes to gossip.

BODEGA OWNER
50 to 60-year old male. Any ethnicity except Black. Slightly racist and has been robbed in the past.

Auditions will be held between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2nd at Hollywood Casting and Film, 6900 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90038. (310) 331-8730. Please bring reels. BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
