Mya gets invited to a ditch party by two of the most popular girls in school. However, in order to fit in she must make a huge sacrifice. One that could change her life forever. ***Girls On Drugs is based on true events*** This script started off as a feature in which I turned into a short script. I like to create universal roles for women of color. This story is relatable to any young girl who finds themselves in the middle of peer pressure and temptation. It is real life. I am looking for talented individuals who will be able to bring these important characters to life.
ROLES
TOMMY – African-American. 18-24 years old but can pass as a high school student. Tommy is one of the most popular guys in school because he plays football. He is a tall, attractive young man with a great smile.
MYA – 18-24 years old but can pass as a high school student. Petite, slender young girl with box braids. Very poetic however gullible in her own lyrics which she struggles to understand. She is a innocent young girl still trying to find herself. The person playing this role must convey an innocent and sweet looking demeanor.
