We are casting a film that shoots in San Diego near Pacific Beach area April 21st & April 22nd.
Below are the roles we’re casting. Looking for actors of Indian and Middle Eastern origins in particular. All should apply though.
KAMALA PATEL
KAMALA 40 to 55 years old, East Indian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, North American Indian, Pacific Islander, Southern Asian female. LEAD. Kamala is the Wife of Raj Patel. She the quiet in the storm. Calm and cool most of the time, she keeps things orderly and is the voice of reasoning.
HARSH PATEL
60 to 80 years old, East Indian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, North American Indian, Pacific Islander male. Support Lead. INDIAN from India or can pass for Indian. Not required, but would prefer someone who is familiar with the culture and language. Harsh has a mild case of Parkinson Disease and every chance he gets he wants you to know. He’s unfiltered. Only person, place, or thing he possibly fears is his wife. GREAT WITH COMEDY.
BODY DOUBLE
35 to 55 years old, East Indian, Filipino, Hispanic, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Mixed Ethnicity, North American Indian, Pacific Islander, Southern Asian, West Indies/Caribbean male. MUST resemble Rajesh Nahar. Please GOOGLE his name and look at images. Need a body double who fits or is around the below measurements.
JACK
40 to 60 years old, Caucasian, East Indian, Eastern European, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, Pacific Islander, Southern Asian female. Jack is a lesbian woman who looks like a guy at first glance. Alicia is the parent of black adopted child Alicia. Will NOT have to kiss another woman. Good with improv.
JILL
40 to 60 years old, all ethnicities female.
Jill is a meek woman and wife to Jack and mother to adopted daughter Alicia.
