The movie ” is filming in Macon, Georgia and now casting locals to work as paid extras.
“Empire” and “Hidden Figures” actress Taraji P. Henson stars in the period film about segregation in schools during the 60s in North Carolina. Atlanta’s CL Casting is looking for locals that would like to work as paid movie extras in the movie as well as area locals who have cars from the 50s, 60s and 70s. All roles are paid.
Catrett Casting casting is looking to fill a variety of roles for filming which takes place on Saturday, May 20th. The film’s production team is only casting in Macon for that one day as the rest of the movie is filming in the Atlanta area. According to the local site Macon.com, the civil rights drama is looking for local extras to play parade attenders, beauty queens, Boy Scouts, firefighters and police officers. Also the movie is looking for real-life WWI, WWII, Korean and Vietnam veterans, those in marching bands or who have been in marching bands who have their own instruments, and majorettes or those with baton twirling experience.
Folks who want to work as movie extras on that day should send an email submission to CL casting following the directions below. Please note that for the Macon shoot, they are only seeking locals as travel expenses are not paid.
