Auditions for Lead Role in Indie Film in Boston

“When Mentioned” – Casting Lead in Short Film

Location: Boston, MA

Type: Student Films

When Mentioned will follow two young men, Dan and Tyler, driving in a car. Though as it’s quickly developed, it’s revealed that this is no ordinary car, and no ordinary situation. Dan tries desperately to get Tyler to listen to his words and focus on what he’s saying, but Tyler appears to be stuck in a different form of reality.

We are currently casting the lead role of Tyler. The role will be heavily dependent on a lot of facial emotion, as what Tyler will be saying will clearly be affecting him deeply internally. The short really revolves all around what’s happening in Tyler internally vs. externally, so his role is quite significant.

This short film will be shot as part of the largest student film festival in the country, Campus MovieFest. For this, the entirety of the production will be limited to a 6 day span (that being March 21-27)

The film will be directed/written/produced by Chris K. Daniels, winner of the New Artists Best Film Award, as well as the Silver Tripod and Jury Awards at last years COF Campus MovieFest.

Unfortunately, there is very little budget for the production, so there’ll be no cash payment. Though the exposure and experience guaranteed by taking part in Campus MovieFest is quite a bit in itself. And on top of that, Chris’ last short went on to rack up 3.1 million views, so overall acting exposure in this project should be quite worth the effort.
