Casting Call for “Violence” – A short film

Location: Washington, DC

“Violence” is a film about a young man named Ephraim who’s dealing with being outcasted and bullied at school, and a contemptuous relationship with his father at home. His choices, instead of bringing him closer to a positive resolution, only lead him further away and the situation spiraling out of control.

Auditions: October 28th 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
(Please note all auditions will be given a specific time within this window, some may be asked to stay until after 3 PM to re-read)

Call-Backs: Within a week.
Shooting dates: December 8-9, 15-16

Roles:

[EPHRAIM] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 15-17]
Ephraim, awkward and quiet, is being bullied in school, while also having trouble at home relating to his dad.

[BRANDON] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 15-17]
Star of the Football team. 5 star recruit. Strong, confident. Brandon wants to get his scholarship and stay out of trouble.

[DANIEL] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 16–18]
Tough, aggressive and rambunctious. Daniel makes sure everyone knows that he isn’t afraid of anything or anyone.

[MOSES] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 35-39]
Father of Ephraim. Recently retired Army. Tough and Stern.
Non-Speaking roles – Send resume and headshot

[JOSH] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 15-17]
Teammate of Brandon. Strong, silent type
