Set in an impoverished neighborhood of Baltimore, Buck tells the coming-of-age story of an unruly boy, Noah, whose negligent father cancels on him at the last minute on his birthday. Accompanied by his single mother, Noah pays his father an unexpected visit, only to discover that his half-sister has acquired his dream birthday gift.

A boy with self-destructive impulses and troublesome behavior, but also a soft heart for animals. Due to the constant tension between Noah and his single mother, he badly needs a father figure in his life, but what he usually gets are just heartbreaking disappointments.
Kat, 25, Lead, Caucasian
A too-young mother, slowly worn down raising Noah on her own. Known for her wicked temper, she unleashes her anger without any filters.Kat has never been married to Dave and she never intended too. She sees right through him.
Dave, 27, Supporting, Caucasian
An impulsive and irresponsible man who is torn between his two children and the two women in his life. One can hardly tell but Dave used to be funny and charming. He still has some street smarts – until he drinks them and all of his problems away.
Rachel, 25, Supporting, Caucasian
Kat’s former “Best Friend Forever” and a drug dealer.
Megan, 9, Supporting, Caucasian
A precocious girl who is keenly aware of her power over Noah.
