Lin Manuel Miranda’s New Movie Casting

Lin-Manuel Miranda has a new project coming out and there will be an open casting call held in the NYC area.

Jon M. Chu is set to direct the Warner Bros. movie which will be a film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony-winning musical, In The Heights.

Lin-Manuel Miranda is the man behind the hit Broadway musicalHamilton (which also has an open call coming up in the New York City area.

The Tony Award musical “In The Heights” is being made into a movie and there are 4 roles open and available for anyone in the general public to tryout for.  Miranda did make a video announcing the casting call in which he stated “I’ve got all these roles someone was made to play.

The upcoming open call is looking for dancers.

New Warner Bros Film casting extras

This movie is in the pre-production process and is reported to be looking for a theatrical release sometime in 2020.

In The Heights –  Set in the predominantly Latino Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan, where Miranda grew up, “In the Heights” follows the lives of several characters all dealing with issues of family, love, and community as gentrification begins to take hold.
