Casting Teen Boy and Pre-Teen Girl for the play, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”

Young Artists of Pasadena is a new youth theatre company casting two open roles their play, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.”
Please note that there is a fee to participate.
We are looking for 2 kids for specific roles in our cast:
FATHER – Male (age 14-18), Solid Family Man, Humorous, Jovial
MAXINE – Female (age 9-13), Church Pageant Narrator, Funny, Angel

Rehearsals are Monday nights only from 6p-8p in Pasadena. Tech/Dress Rehearsals are Monday 11/26- Thursday 11/29, with performances on Friday, November 30th at 7pm and Saturday, December 1st at 3pm and 6pm.
There is a performer’s fee of $250, but we do offer partial and full scholarships. We also offer discounts for siblings!

I am a single mother and my son would like to be on TV. We just recently had twin auditions yesterday November 11th 2018. He was pulled out of 35 children and rated at 8 on camera however they required him to take a class for $1, 500 for 10 sessions. Is there any way that I can find acting or places where he can be on TV for free for now or you know just to get our foot in the door instead of paying that much money. We didn’t expect for the money to play a major role so I’m just looking for a little help if you can give me some advice or if you can let me know about your business. Was it this workshop that wanted $1500? They stated $250 in total. $1500 is nuts. Who asked for that much?
