I have a skin disorder that when described, makes me look like a severe mental case. Many doctors have looked at me as such, I’m sure. I am allergic to “PEOPLE”, not all people but people who have recently been in bodily/ physical contact with other people’s bodies and come in physical contact with my body. Through trial and error, for the 30 plus years of studying my watching and studying my breakouts, I have absolutely determined that this rash happens at these times: When I kiss a man, who has kissed someone else within a 2/3 week period; when I touch cheeks with someone who is in a physical relationship with someone, (like in a hug or cheek kissing greeting); when I let hand washed (non-sterilized-dishwasher-washed) eating utensils touch my lips; if I don’t use sanitizing whips immediately and wipe of my skin my own nose drippings and bowl movements, etc. In times past and when this condition was at its worse, it has eaten down to the epidermis layer of my skin. Though I still have this disorder, I don’t suffer with it as much now because I know what causes it and I do my best to steer clear of those contaminates, people included. And being single woman that has been a tough pill to adjust to. Also, I have learned to control the rash by keeping sanitizers and Triamcinolone Acetonide ointment and cream on hand at all time. This rash depletes my skin of all oils and it causes the effected area to turn much darker than my normal complexion (I’m a medium color skin Black woman) when healed. I would love to live a life without this disorder. I would love if one doctor somewhere would not only believe me regarding my contaminates but who would also try to help me figure out why I am allergic to these things. I have other allergies as well. FYI: There are things I thinks might be the culprits of this disorder: 25 plus years of undiagnosed and untreated Lyme disease and/or leaked and allergic reaction to Silicone Breasts Implants, implanted in 1971 due to a double Mastectomy/no cancer and not removed until 1995.
