We are casting for Wesley Curtis’s short film, “Strings.” It’s a slapstick, minimal dialogue, comedy about a boy who has to make a mad dash to the music store to fix his guitar right before his big audition. The writer and director, Wesley, is a student at Webster University. When writing the main character, he used Buster Keaton and John Cleese as inspiration.
MITCH- (Male, mid-20’s) is a quirky young musician who has a childlike demeanor when it comes to tough situations. He is a great problem solver who solves extreme situations with body movements and a comedic self-satire.
Requirements: Preferably someone who can play a little guitar.
1. People in the Music Shop- need multiple people to fill in a music shop.
Please bring along a head shot and a short bio of your acting experience/training if you can. You will be given a script to read where you will be expected to recite it on camera in front of several people. You will be given some limited time to practice before being auditioned.
