CASTING CALL

Webster University, Sverdrup Hall 8300 Big Bend Blvd. Room 131

We are casting for Michael Baldridge’s short film, “Duffle Bag.” It is a drama inspired by Donald Glover’s television show “Atlanta”. The writer and director, Michael, is a student at Webster University.

CAST BREAKDOWN
BLAKE- (African American Male, mid 20’s) is a young music producer. He is introverted and very creative, but is ignorant to what’s going on around him.

VIRGIL- (African American Male, mid 20’s) is Blake’s manager and old friend, but doesn’t care about his relationship with Blake anymore. He is smart, manipulative, and selfish.

HEAVYROC- (African American Male, mid-20’s) is a young rapper who cares more about his possessions and appearance than anything else. He is very sketchy, unreliable, and takes advantage of the people around him. Somewhat of an A$AP Rocky or Tyler the Creator vibe to him.

SUPPORTING ACTORS
Dre- (Male) No dialogue, just in background playing video games
Nick- (Male) No dialogue, just in background playing video games
Russ- (Male) No dialogue, has confrontation with Blake, just one shove
Worker- some dialogue, a worker at a cleaners

EXTRAS
Party Goers- people at the party in the background

Please bring along a head shot and a short bio of your acting experience/training if you can. You will be given a script to read where you will be expected to recite it on camera in front of several people. You will be given some limited time to practice before being auditioned.
