Synopsis: A young trainee with aspirations to become a “pilot”, a form of enhanced human, takes one last evaluation before deciding to return home, but the interview untangles as she is forced to come to terms with a traumatic incident that occurred a year prior.
SAG welcome, if you are, we can negotiate a low pay. Film credit, meals, and snacks provided. As well as life long friends and contacts. The film I think will be a great piece for any actor/actresses reel so don’t be discouraged by our small scope and budget.

Role Description: lead role; all races welcome, especially looking for south asian/middle eastern/east asian but don’t be discouraged if you feel the role is right for you; (looking in age range of 18-32, anyone that can convincingly play a late teens/early 20s woman), skinny/skrawny/average, alternative (goth/emo/normcore/dyed hair/tattoos etc.) looks are welcome. In terms of gender, the role is written for a female but anyone (non-binary etc.) who feels like this role is strong for them can try out. This is a SUBTLE performance. Must be able to portray someone lost in regret, quiet desperation, and can show anxiety/dread in their performance.

Role Description: Halfine’s best friend; all races welcome; (looking in age range of 18-32, anyone that can convincingly play a late teens/early 20s woman), skinny/skrawny/average. In terms of gender, the role is written for a female but anyone (non-binary, male, etc.) who feels like this role is strong for them can try out. Alex died a year prior to the beginning of the story. Actress would be challenged with playing a character who deep down loves her best friend but in the film is not the real Alex, but a corrupted manifestation. A subtle performance, must show quiet desperation, apathetic discipline, seething hatred all at different times.

Role Description: You may send in a tape for this role. All races welcome. This small but important role will be a voice-over, so age doesn’t necessarily matter, but voice quality and performance do. Needs to perform a apologetic, melancholic toned voice mail that is reminiscing and nostalgia. She’s trying to talk Halfine, the protagonist, for the first time since the traumatic event that occurred a year ago.

This small but important role is the counselor, who appears at the end of the film, to conduct the “real” evaluation. The current draft this character has 2 lines. Must deliver authority but gentle concern in the performance.

If you are outside Atlanta, we cannot fly you here for audition, rehearsals or production. Keep that in mind before submitting. But if you feel this project is right for you, send us a video tape audition and we may talk! Audition is August 31st at 2 pm for supporting roles (Alex, Rania, Counselor), and September 1st at 2 pm for lead role (Halfine). Submissions are below, if you submit you’ll receive a side early, however you can just come in and cold read a side at the audition as well! Submission not mandatory, but helps. Include a headshot/regular photo, reel link if you have one, summary of your acting experience, after we receive that, we’ll send you a script side to practice. Earlier is better as the final submission date is only a week before the audition. We’re not a big production but we’ll do our best to produce a worthwhile film, so please come. Note about audition: The building is a law office, the auditions will be held inside. Signs will be there to guide you. If there is a line we’ll have a designated waiting area.
