Shooting a proof of concept short for a coming of age story, Nice Try Kid. Seeking actors for the following roles:
LEON (18) A wannabe punk and anglophile type. A scrappy type of burnout who’s well meaning and cares for his friends but feels the need to handle everything.
For casting we should look for 18 to 22. We want the teenagers to feel like teenagers.
MARGARET (early to mid 40s) Leon’s Mom, she’s someone who’s spent years in the shadow of her domineering husband.
We want to find someone who looks like they’ve spent 18 years trying to play mediator and exists as a shadow of herself.
HARRISON (late forties to early 50s) A loud and domineering type. He uses his words like fists to bully people around. Extremely particular on everything and bullies his family out of fear of losing control.
