We are currently casting for a new TV series “In The Trap” A story around the underground music scene in Dallas.

Estimated Shooting start date August 6th
This is a 8 episode series, but we are only shooting the proof of concept, scenes for trailers, actor interviews, and B-ROLL. Once this is complete, and all post production work is almost done, we will go into shooting episodes 2-8.

Main Characters

Dwayne Griffin (protagonist/Main character)
The older version of the character will be played by Jarric Tucker. We are looking to cast the younger version of Jarric. Age 17-21, light-skinned and about 5’8 to 6’. Athletic body type.

Lil Moe (Young Rapper)
African American male. There are two character ages for this role. 9/10 years old and 14/15. Little bad kid heading down the wrong path. Character is an Aspiring rapper. We would prefer to cast someone who is also pursuing rapping as well, but will consider the best options.

Linda Griffin (Dwayne Griffins Mother)
African American, average height, Early 40’s. She is a human resource manager for a large construction company. And can be a true fireball at times.

Robert “Slim” Johnson (friend to Dwayne)
African American Male, Age 17-20. Average height. Slim is the kind of teenager you parents warn you about. He stays in trouble, stick up kid. Is the bad apple of the group.

Micheal “Tuck” Tucker (friend to Dwayne)
African American Male (2 age role) 17/19 and 25/27. approximately 6’-6’3. Tuck is the bouncer type, , beefy but not overweight, brown to dark-skinned.

Gloria (friend to Mom)
Female, mid 40’s. Race is not specific, Human Resources worker.

Ms. G (neighborhood store owner)
Hispanic or Asian Female, will consider both. Mid 50’s

Speaking Extras
2 Old Gents
Mid 50’s, African American or Hispanic. In the hood type characters and will be seen playing chess and or checkers outside of a local store. These characters will be always talking crap and digging at each other. Someone with a comedic vibe is a good fit for both characters.

Blunt-Roller
Mid 20’s, African American male, hood type demeanor, any height.

Neighborhood girls (3)
African American and Hispanic. 15-17 years old

Doctor (women’s clinic)
Any age or race, 30ish or older

DJ
Any race, male. Age mid 20’s. Someone with DJ’n experience.

Extras
Teens 13-16 for music video scene shoot and rehearsal.
Adults, Early/Mid 20’s for club scenes.
