Disney’s newest addition to their Disney Channel TV show lineup is looking to cast New Orleans area locals that would like to work as paid background actors in the series.

Disney Channel has a brand new show coming out in 2020 and it is called “Sulphur Springs” – Sulpher Springs is described as a live-action, time travel, mystery series which follows 12 year old Griffin Campbell and her family. Sulphur Springs stars Preston Oliver as in the Disney lead role of Griffin Campbell. In the show, Griffin and her family move to a new town where they take over an old, abandoned hotel and start the process of restoring that hotel so that they can turn it into a wonderful vacation spot for tourists.

Shortly after moving into the hotel, Griffin learns that the hotel may in fact be haunted by a ghost. After Griffin begins school in his new town, he meets a new friend named Harper, played by Kyliegh Curran. Harper is obsessed with mysteries and the 2 friends embark on a journey to solve the mystery and uncover the truth behind the hotel and and the rumored haunting. Along the way, the pair will uncover a hidden portal that allows them to travel back in time to find the answers they seek.

The new Disney show is in production in the New Orleans, Louisiana area in 2020. According to a story in Deadline, “Sulphur Springs” comes from writer and executive producer Tracey Thomson (“The Young and the Restless”) and executive produced by Chuck Pratt and Gwave Productions. Also, according to Deadline, the show was originally slated for Disney’s Disney+ streaming network and later changed course where the show was picked up to be added to The Disney Channel. Disney Channel has ordered 11 episodes for season 1.

CASTING YOUNGER VERSION OF ACTOR!

SULPHUR SPRINGS – Filming in Chalmette, LA – works 1 day from November 2nd – November 6th.
Please read thoroughly and submit only if you are available and okay with production’s requirements.
RATE: $106/6 hours
COVID Test (mid nasal): $100. Two COVID tests take place 1 week before the workdate in Chalmette. The parent or guardian who takes the minor to film, must also take a COVID test. The adult will not be paid to take the test.
Fitting Required in Chalmette, TBD date. Rate: $26.50

As a condition of working on set, Background Actors (including children and parents) will be subject to the same testing requirements as cast & crew in advance of work dates.**
Production will also require that anyone over the age of 8 wear a face mask that covers your nose and mouth to be worn while on set and while at the testing facility.

YOUNG TOPHER: Seeking submissions for boys (3 to 4 years old) to work as the younger version of the actor. Your child(ren) must be able to follow directions! This works on a Monday – Saturday schedule. Please view the photo below and submit if you think your child(ren) looks like the younger version of the actor.

If your child(ren) is chosen, you will need to provide identification to us so we can submit a work permit to the Labor Board on behalf of your child: One document establishing age (ex: Birth Certificate, State ID, Passport) AND 1 document establishing your child’s social security number. This paperwork must be submitted 5 days prior to your child’s work date.
