About the Company

CAMP is a Family Experience Company that helps answer the question “What should we do today?” through a unique combination of Retail & Media. Launched in December of 2018, CAMP operates six retail locations in New York, Texas and Connecticut and serves families everywhere via its digital platforms.

CAMP will open stores in Los Angeles, MA, and other major markets in the coming months.

What is the Role?

We are looking for Seasonal, Part-Time Performing Associates to join our CAMP Burlington team. The role will begin January 2022 and take you through the season ending 1st, March. You will be responsible for guiding CAMP’s families through an immersive experience, ensuring they have a magical experience and want to return! This includes:

Entertaining guests with physical playtime, family challenges and theatrical experiences. Improvising with guests to bring the narrative to life while being able to keep to the script you are provided. Performing Associates must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. You will report to the Store manager and work closely with CAMP’s Experience team and the store’s Programming Manager.

Transform into an interactive “tour guide” who can guide families through an adventure with play, physical activity, and lots of high energy engagement
Create an immersive and entertaining experience for the whole family by memorizing lines that drive the narrative, using improvisation, and playful banter
Participate in daily rehearsals to learn multiple interactive roles and make each shift feel like a performance. Share that training and coaching with your team daily
Seamlessly incorporate play, humor and fun into every team and guest interaction while consistently encouraging guest participation
Be comfortable using tech and maintaining props- Using iPads, sound boards, microphones and familiarity with A/V equipment
Collaborate with your team to keep energy up, create a positive environment and ensure that every guest has a memorable family experience
May be asked to throw down when necessary and assist in other areas of the store like stocking shelves, sales support, etc
What is required?

Ability to work at least one weekend day/week, but ideally both!
Ability to work at least 20 hours per week (could flex up to 29 hours per week based on business needs and your availability)
Interpersonal skills – collaborating closely with others is a constant requirement for performers, who need a variety of staff and colleagues to bring presentations to life
Problem-solving skills –ability to think fast on your feet and improvise when technical glitches happen during your shift.
Prior work experience in any of the following areas: retail, child care, child development/ education, performing arts
Excellence, enthusiasm, and excitement around engaging with children and families creatively
Desire to be part of a tight-knit team looking to transform the traditional retail experience
Patience, warmth, joy, and humor
Bonus but not required: you may have hidden talents that can add magical moments to our retail experience
If you are hired, we will require you to prove that you have received the COVID-19 vaccine or have a valid religious or medical reason (including pregnancy) not to be vaccinated
What are the physical demands?

Able to be on your feet for up to 8 hours per shift, keep energy high, and to continuously move around all areas of the store
Kneeling, squatting and actively playing along when engaging children
