Director Thomas Crane of killDevil Films is casting his next short film. He has directed/filmed/edited over 100 music videos, working with several national artists, commercial projects and one other short film. His reel is available here:
“Diamond Hands” is a crime short film. Our main character, Charlie, is a young man who accidentally stumbles upon a group of gangsters, in the middle of cleaning up an accidental death. Amidst arguing amongst themselves, the gangsters have to decide what to do with the Charlie, who is now a witness.
Filming will primarily be one night in one location in Clearwater FL.
(there will be one pickup shot at another location just for Charlie)
Casting the following roles:
Charlie- 18ish – African American- main role. Confident, smart, mature for his age, he finds himself caught up in this mess.
Myles – 30’s – lead gangster – high strung, animated, likes to be in control. Steve Buscemi type.
Ace – 30’s- tall, quiet but confident. He’s a loose canon but loves it.
Stark – late 40’s, 50 – is typically a yes man and wants to be more than he is but lacks the skill or intelligence to get there.
Phoenix – mid 20’s – he’s newer to the gangster crew. The elders consider him kind of soft but he is on board.
Vito – 50’s- heavyset, quiet and enigmatic.
The Boss- 50s’, 60’s – he runs the show.
Dyson – 50’s- pizza shop manager. overweight, gruff and mean.
