Open Casting Call in Savannah for Natalie Portman Movie “May December” – Kids, Teens & Adults

The movie “May December” is currently filming in Georgia and they are casting to fill numerous small roles.

Filming is going on in the Savannah area this fall. It stars Natalie Portman, Julianne Moore, and Charles Melton. “May December” is being directed by Todd Haynes.

Samy Burch is credited with writing the screenplay, which is based on a story written by Samy Burch and Alex Mechanik. Producers credited on this project include Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, Christine Vachon and Pam Koffler of Killer Films. Natalie Portman is also producing the film alongside a few others.

According to the movie’s IMDB page, the movie is a romance drama – Twenty years after their notorious tabloid romance gripped the nation, a married couple buckles under the pressure when an actress arrives to do research for a film about their past.

HIGH SCHOOLERS: Ages 14 and up (as long as you can pass for a high schooler you will be considered)!
HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION ATTENDEES: Seeking Men, Women, and children (aged 6 and up).
HIGH SCHOOL CUSTODIANS: Men and Women ages 30-50! High school custodial staff.
HIGH SCHOOL TECH CREW: Men and Women ages 30-50! Tech crew filming the high school graduation.

RATE: $130/10hr
$130 guaranteed for the shoot date- most days are expected to be between 8-10 hours (some less). If the shoot happens to go over 10 hours overtime will be granted at time and a half.

QUEEN IDUNA: The queen possesses a sense of rightness and kindness that guides her in her protection of her two young girls. A daughter of the Northern Nomads, this queen has the ability to communicate with the Hidden Folk of the mountains and so understands Elsa’s powers deeply; look for an actor who can portray this sense of compassion.

PABBIE: Pabbie and Bulda are the mystical leaders of the Hidden Folk who have a soft spot for “strays.” Ever-benevolent, these parental figures want what’s best for Kristoff, even if they are a bit misguided in their efforts.

BISHOP: The bishop officiates the coronation and passing of the crown to Elsa. This spiritual supervisor must communicate to the Townspeople of Arendelle in a serious and formal manner.

KRISTOFF: Kristoff is a hardworking ice harvester. Kristoff has a sarcastic veneer and a rough-around-the-edges exterior that hides a big heart. Taken in by the Hidden Folk when he was young, he loves Pabbie and Bulda dearly, but is a bit of a loner with a reindeer for a best friend- until he meets Anna. With only a few short singing solos, we’re looking for a performer who can balance a cynical sense of humor with charming banter. If an actor plays guitar that is an added bonus, but not necessary!

Vocal range: G2 – A3.

SVEN: Sven is a reindeer of few words, fiercely loyal pal to Kristoff, and loves giving the ice harvester a hard time. We’re looking for a performer with good comic timing and terrific physical acting skills who can devise a strong movement vocabulary to bring this furry charmer to life.

Vocal range: A3 – A4.

HANS: The ambitious Prince of the Southern Isles and overlooked thirteenth son of a king. Hans constantly strives to find a way to make good and stand out. He boasts an exceedingly charming facade that fools everyone – including Anna and, ideally, the audience! – into believing he’s Prince Charming, when really, he’s just a jerk.

Vocal range: G2 – B3

WESELTON: A visiting duke who possesses a huge inferiority complex. A bombastic, overbearing sycophant, Weselton’s sole purpose is to hobnob with influencers and royalty. Look for an actor who can portray the narrow-minded naysayer with over-the-top gusto.

OLAF: The magical snowman created by Anna and Elsa when they were young. Olaf is endearingly delighted by everything – especially the idea of summer. Goofy and sweet, Olaf should possess a childlike innocence and excellent comic timing. Performers of all genders will be considered for this role.

Vocal range: F#2 – D4.

OAKEN: An exceedingly cheerful and convivial wandering salesperson and ardent devotee to all things cozy and comfortable. Oaken’s “Hygge” is a showstopper, so this performer should be able to embody this peppy peddler’s infectious warmth with flair and good humor.

Extras Call in Charleston for Woody Harrelson Movie “Suncoast”

Extras casting call in South Carolina for a movie.

Laura Linney and Woody Harrelson are set to star in a new movie that is being called “Suncoast” – Joining the cast is Nico Parker as well. The film is described as a drama and is directed by Laura Chinn. This will be Laura Chin’s directorial debut. Named producers on “Suncoast” include Jeremy Plager, Francesca Silvestri, Kevin Chinoy and Oly Obst.

Disney owned, Searchlight is on this project and the filming of “Suncoast” began recently and the project is expected to be in production for the next few months.

The movie, “Suncoast” is said to be inspired by Laura Chinn’s own life as she was growing up with an overbearing mother and ended up finding herself an activist in problems with medical care after being inserted into those issues due to her own brother’s position of having to be put into a managed care facility.

A student at school with Matilda. He has the very first solo line of the entire show, so make sure to cast a good singer in this role. Eric also has some featured moments as one of Matilda’s schoolmates, so it’s helpful if Eric is also expressive.

Amanda
A student at school with Matilda. She has a few solos and lines, but her most featured moment is when Trunchbull throws her through the air using her pigtails.

Bruce
One of Matilda’s schoolmates. He has the bad luck to get caught after eating Trunchbull’s cake. Bruce goes through quite a transformation throughout the show and has some important solos, so cast an excellent singer and actor. Keep in mind that just because Bruce eats the cake, it doesn’t mean he has to be physically larger than the other children – Bruce is just an actor who can portray their journey throughout the show.

Matilda’s father. He is egotistical, rude, and not very bright, not to mention a liar. Though Mr. Wormwood is not a good person and he is mean to Matilda, his harebrained schemes can be hilariously funny. It’s helpful if Mr. Wormwood reads as older onstage and makes a dynamic pair with Mrs. Wormwood.

Mrs. Wormwood
Matilda’s mother. Like her husband, she dislikes Matilda and does not understand why her daughter loves to read. Mrs. Wormwood is selfish, obsessed with her own appearance, and believes everything she sees on TV. Her dancing lessons with Rudolpho are the most important part of her day.

Michael
Matilda’s brother. He is not very bright, though he is the apple of his father’s eye. This is a hilarious supporting role for a younger actor with comedic timing, as Michael’s contributions to the scene usually function as deadpan one-liners.

Mrs. Phelps
The kindly librarian who loves hearing Matilda’s stories. This is a great featured role for a stronger actress who reads as older than Matilda onstage.

Escapologist
A character of Matilda’s creation. Everything this character does is grand and exaggerated – he’s performing for the cheap seats!

Sergei
A customer swindled by Mr. Wormwood. Though he shows up looking for payback, Matilda has had quite enough of revenge, and Sergei lets the Wormwoods escape.

Ensemble roles include Russian Mafia, Little Kids, Big Kids (including Big Kid 1, Big Kid 2, and Big Kid 3), Kids, Mums, Dads, the Cook, and the Mechanic.

Extras Casting Call in Atlanta for Paramount+ “Wolf Pack” TV Show

The Teen Wolf based streaming TV series is currently filming in the Atlanta, Georgia area and is now hiring Atlanta residents who would like to work as paid background actors on the show.

A new TV show is coming to the Paramount+ Network which is currently called “Wolf Pack.”

According to reports about the new production, “Wolf Pack” the series will be based on the series of books written by Edo Van Belkom. In the story, Wolf Pack is about a common topic in popular television shows, the supernatural and teens. The show will follow a teenage boy named Everett who will be played by Armani Jackson (Honor Society, Chad) and a teen girl played by Bella Shepard (iCarly, The Wilds) – The teens will find that their lives will be changed after a fire lets loose some supernatural occurrences and a creature that will terrify them both. Also starring in “Wolf Pack” are Chloe Rose Robertson (Wildflower), and Tyler Lawrence Gray (Our Town) – The show will be released on the Paramount+ streaming network.

The show is associated with Jeff Davis, who is listed as the writer and producer of the Paramount+ project, Teen Wolf: The Movie. The show is currently filming in and around the Atlanta, Georgia area.
