Production Description: Believe Lights the Night is an immersive holiday experience from Nov. 25 – Dec. 23, 2022 at the Shreveport Aquarium. Guests are given wands that create magic through the aquarium and meet a whole host of beloved holiday characters on their journey.
Role:
The Snow Mermaid character is a mermaid from the Arctic Ocean who loves to bring a little bit of winter to share with her friends in Shreveport! She cares about creating a clean ocean environment for her aquatic friends and inspiring others to use their magic to make a difference!
Shreveport Aquarium is seeking a female-identifying performer who is comfortable doing improv in character while engaging with children and adult aquarium guests, of all ages and ethnicities. Costume pieces will be provided.
Role includes sitting for long periods of time and having photos taken with guests, mostly children. This role could lead to other mermaid roles in the future.
We strongly encourage performers from all cultural backgrounds to submit a request for an audition. Qualified applicants will be called back for an audition in October.
