“Arms Wide Open” is a drama about a son who feels pressured to reconcile with and forgive his father after something he did 30 years ago, which sent him to prison. This will be a 5-minute short film as a test. If all goes well, those cast in this short may be asked to return for a 7-8 episode miniseries that will tell a much more in-depth story based on the short.
Available Roles:
MARIE: late 20s-early 30s, wife of the main character (John), loves John so much that she works tirelessly to bring reconciliation between John and his father, Frank. *Will need to kiss her on-screen husband once in the end.
FRANK: early-70s, father of the main character, has just been released from prison after 30 years for a heartless crime he committed, upon release he is a changed man and seeks his son’s forgiveness

Compensation: *No Pay. Meals provided along with a $20 stipend for gas.
*If the miniseries gets picked up, it will be professionally paid. But for this short, it will be unpaid.
This 5-minute short will be FILMED ENTIRELY ON AN IPHONE. If it gets picked up, we will have cameras.
