?About the show:
“Merry Murder At the Christmas Gala” is a festive theatrical production that combines the magic of the holiday season with the intrigue of a classic murder mystery. Set against the backdrop of an elegant Christmas gala, this play unfolds as an engaging whodunit that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. Amidst the glitz and glamour of the gala, tensions rise, secrets are unveiled, and the spirit of Christmas takes an unexpected turn as a murder occurs.
The plot unfolds as the characters, each with their own motives and secrets, grapple with the mystery. As the audience becomes amateur detectives, they try to unravel the clues and uncover the murderer before the final reveal.
Cast: 5 women, 2 men
Missy Mistletoe (w) – hostess with the mostess of Mistletoe Jubilee
The countess (w) – blind Hungarian singer/actress, grand dame
Gil Didlilly (m) – her American sycophant, kinda quiet except when with Pam.
Jennifer Highnee (w) – retired Jazz singer, down to earth
Nick Dastardly (m) – wealthy investor, starts out grumpy but gets drunker as the show goes on,
limps (also plays Detective Sergeant Sherlock Schmeck)
Pamela Maplesyrup (w) – cheerful caterer who is Gil’s secret lover
Lulu Nono (w) – uppity “society page” journalist, covering the event, loves purses.
?*Gil and Pam should be about 35 or younger. All other roles 20-60+
